“We hardly ever go back to the same hotel twice for our holidays – but we absolutely love this place. It felt like home as soon as we walked back in. I re-read my review from October 2016 – the only thing to change is that our daughter is now two not one. Otherwise same fabulous clean comfortable apartments with all the amenities we need – same friendly village – same review as last year. Brilliant. Highly recommended and hope to return next year.”

“We were here for four nights prior to taking up a Villa. The studio was very spacious, very clean and well equipped. A fridge, twin hot plate, kettle, safe air con and hair dryer were all provided. The bed was very comfortable and not the usual ‘firm’ type. Pool bar only opens in high season but drinks and snacks are available from the bakers opposite. Highly recommend these apartments for a self catering stay.”
“We booked two rooms for 2 weeks in August with our grandson and his parents. We all had a great time. Our grandson(6) loved the pool and we were a short walk from the beach and shops/tavernas. His parents loved the bakery across the street, the pool bar and snacks and each room has a comfortable balcony for evenings. We were well looked after by the family Nectarias and the friendly staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The perfect holiday.”

Almyrida is a small village on the north coast of the western Crete. It is ideal for your holiday by the sea, surrounded by nature and just a short drive away from the airport or the city of Chania. Until recently it was just a fishermen village of 50-100 residents. Due to its wonderful Mediterranean climate, its two clear sandy beaches and its beautiful nature, the village has recently turned into a tourist resort.
Kalyves is a relatively large village located on the coastal side between Chania and Rethymno city, a 10-minute drive away from Niriides Apartments. It is worth to pay a visit to this settlement to witness an interesting overlap of traditional Greek village with a tourist resort.
Aptera is an ancient city that you can reach after a 20-minute drive from Niriides Apartments. It is one of the most beautiful historical sights of Western Crete, that is still not so popular among the tourists what makes it even more special.
The charming city of Chania is located only a 30-minute drive away from Almyrida Bay. It is a must to visit this incredible city with a long history and mixed heritage. Hundreds of years under Venetians, and then Turks, left a noticeable trace on this place, turning it into a truly unique scenery.
Argiropolis village is not only a beautiful place with natural springs but also a point of great historical importance. Once, many centuries ago, it used to be called Ancient Lappa that was one of the biggest settlements of the time in the island of Crete.
The exotic beach of Falassarna is located 59km west of Chania city and almost 17km west of Kissamos, at the western base of Cape Gramvousa. At the northern end of the beach, you will find the ruins of the ancient Greco-Roman city of Falassarna.
Samaria Gorge is located in the southwest of Crete in the regional unit of Chania. It was created by a small river running between the White Mountains (Lefká Óri) and Mt. Volakias. The gorge is 16 km long, starting at an altitude of 1,250 m at the northern entrance, and ending at the shores of the Libyan Sea in Agia Roumeli.
Elafonisi is located 76km west of Chania in the southwestern tip of Crete. Its exotic beaches with white sand and turquoise water are formed on both sides of the peninsula. The sand is pinkish in many places, taking its colour from millions of crushed shells.
